{"id":1794,"date":"2019-01-23T11:35:48","date_gmt":"2019-01-23T11:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.sendtric.com\/?p=1794"},"modified":"2019-01-23T11:35:48","modified_gmt":"2019-01-23T11:35:48","slug":"how-to-create-countdown-timers-in-mailchimp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sendtric.com\/how-to-create-countdown-timers-in-mailchimp\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Create Countdown Timers in Mailchimp"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Today we\u2019re going to walk through how easy it is include an email countdown timer within a Mailchimp campaign.&nbsp; Mailchimp is a popular email sending and template editing platform that many of our customers use.&nbsp; Adding an animated email countdown timer to your Mailchimp templates is seamless, and a great way to enhance your email campaigns with dynamic content.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/mail-chimp-logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2703\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Create your timer on Sendtric<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you are creating a free timer on our home page, or a highly customized timer in our Pro Edition, generating a countdown timer is quick and easy.&nbsp; If you\u2019d like a quick introduction to creating countdown timers on Sendtric, check out our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.sendtric.com\/2018\/10\/18\/beginners-guide-to-email-countdown-timers\/\">Beginner\u2019s Guide to Email Countdown Timers<\/a>.&nbsp; In the Pro Edition, make sure you have a timer prepared that you\u2019d like to use in your campaign.&nbsp; Some of our customers like naming their countdown timers in the Pro Edition to be the same as their Mailchimp campaigns to clarify which timer corresponds to which campaign, so you may want to consider that!&nbsp; Once you have prepared your timer, copy the Timer code and head over to Mailchimp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/pro-edition-timer-editor.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2705\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Pro Edition Timer Editor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Insert your timer into your Mailchimp Template<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Open your Mailchimp campaign in the template editor and select the \u201cCode\u201d option in the \u201cContent\u201d tab. Drag the box into your template where you would like the countdown timer to appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/mailchimo-editorr.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2706\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Mailchimp Editor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy the timer code from Sendtric and paste it in the \u201cCode\u201d section for the Code block you just added to your template.&nbsp; If you would like your timer to be centered, here is some additional code to help center the timer for all email clients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">&lt;table align=\"center\"&gt;\n  &lt;tbody&gt;\n    &lt;tr&gt;\n      &lt;td&gt;{your timer code goes here}&lt;\/td&gt;\n    &lt;\/tr&gt;\n  &lt;\/tbody&gt;\n&lt;\/table&gt;<\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/mail-chimp-showcase-product.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2672\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Centered Timer in Mailchimp<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Just Kidding, you are done!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s that easy to include a timer from Sendtric in your Mailchimp campaign.&nbsp; If you are a Pro Edition user and want to make some tweaks to your timer design after seeing it in the template (maybe that color choice wasn\u2019t quite right!)
